BMW E9X Air Intake Duct Tabs Repair Kit | DRK89

Missing your thread tabs for your BMW E90/E92 air duct? This PrintablesAuto repair kit is here to repair the missing air duct threaded holes on your E9X. 

Repair kit will come with 3 units with threaded heat inserts and three replacement screws/bolts for mounting the air duct to your chassis! One backup in case of issues. :)
The three options are:

• Assembled Kit with 3 repair tabs with M5 threaded heated inserts preinstalled with 3 matching screws Hex 4/T25 to mount to chassis.
• DIY kit to use the threaded insert in your stock air duct threads or you to insert yourself. Comes with the repair tabs, threaded inserts and screws to allow for the installation of the repair kit. When inserting into your factory thread hole, please clear the hole with a 1/4" (6.35mm) drill bit to prevent the melted plastic getting into threads when heat-inserting.
• Half & Half Kit comes with one complete repair tab and 2 DIY repair kits to fix one side tab and to have matching threads / screws. Inserting into your factory thread hole, please clear the hole with a 1/4" (6.35mm) drill bit to prevent the melted plastic getting into threads when heat-inserting.

After making a smooth but scuffed mounting surface where your previous tab was, line up the base to mate flat with the duct, double check alignment, use a 2 part epoxy and/or a hot iron to melt the plastic to the base of the air duct.
